Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006

In order to comply with the above WEEE regulations, we offer a free 'Take Back' on old electrical and electronic equipment. This is done on a like-for-like basis. For example if you buy a new watch you can return an old watch back to us. You have 28 days after the purchase of the new watch in which to return an old watch to us. You will be responsible for any postage costs incurred returning the item to us.

The Directive

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of waste electrical. In the UK, that means retailers like us must offer all customers buying new equipment, mains or battery operated, free take-back for their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste, and
sending it to landfill causes lead and other toxins can leak out and cause soil
and water contamination, harming wildlife and human health.
If you're not sure whether your electrical item can be recycled, have a look
for the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the packaging, or on the item itself.
If the symbol appears on the replacement item, this is also an indication that
the old model should be recycled.
